Craig and his wife Gerry were both teachers for many years in the Campbell River School District…..retiring (kind of!) in 2008. Craig worked as a teacher, counselor, and principal in secondary, middle, and elementary schools before becoming the Assistant Superintendent. Since retirement Craig has worked as a School District 72 consultant, mentoring principals and vice-principals and has worked as the supervisor for over 60 student teachers from either Vancouver Island University or University of Victoria. He has launched the happily ever after of about 700 B.C. couples as a B.C. Marriage Commissioner.
A Rotarian with Campbell River Daybreak since 2001, Craig served as President in 2010-2011, as District Youth Exchange Chair, District Training Chair, and most recently as District Governor (2018-2019) of 91 Rotary clubs in District 5020. Craig believes he and his family are indeed fortunate to call Campbell River home. He served as a member of the Campbell River Community Foundation for 7 years and has recently returned to the board to serve as chair. He considers it an honour to work with such a dedicated team of community volunteers whose efforts enable the community to support a meaningful array of community projects.
