I am honoured to serve as chair of the Campbell River Community Foundation board—a dedicated board of creative, skilled and compassionate community volunteers.
The Campbell River Community Foundation, first established in 1990, is perhaps Campbell River’s least known asset. The concept is simple yet powerful! Under the guidance of our Campbell River Community Foundation board a permanent fund has been created to steward the invested contributions of our generous community donors. The interest accrued annually is awarded in grants to non-profit organizations. To date over $500,000 has been given to support important, often life changing projects and events in the greater Campbell River area. Examples of previous recipients are documented on our website.
We use Vital Signs, a broad community assessment tool, to identify community needs and ensure that those who most need our assistance are served by dedicated non-profit community groups.
Please join us in leaving a legacy! Your voice and financial support can be an important guide in ensuring Foundation funds assist those who most need assistance. We have board members eager to provide more information if you are interested in learning more about the operation of the Campbell River Community Foundation.
Together we can continue to enrich life in Campbell River by contributing to a fund that will perpetually help the greater Campbell River community grow and flourish!

We have chosen to invest in the Campbell River Community Foundation because it is a way of giving back to the community and a continuing future legacy in which the funds are well managed and not heavy in administration fees. Local organizations in need are well served by this growing Foundation.
