First of all a big thank you to our directors as well as to the donors to the Endowment Fund for helping us to attain two of our goals which were set back in 2016.
The initial goal was to produce our first Vital Signs publication for Campbell River and surrounding area.
With help from our sponsors and a wonderful job of assembling all the statistics by Maggie Hodge Kwan, we managed to complete the project by October the fourth. On that same day we released the Vital Signs report to the public.
The response was terrific and the publication is being used by many organizations in this area.
We are planning to produce a second Vital Signs publication in 2018. This will give the community a guideline as to how we are doing in dealing with various issues.
The second goal was to reach the $2,000,000.00 mark in our Endowment Fund. We achieved that goal in November of 2016 because of the generous local donations. By reaching that goal we were able to grant over $68,000.00 to non-profit groups in our area.
We are now working on our next goal of $3,000,000.00 in the Endowment Fund which will enable us to increase our grants in future years.
I know we will reach that goal because of the generosity of donors in our area.
We urge you to “GIVE THE GIFT THAT LASTS FOREVER” – contribute to the Campbell River Community Foundation.

We have chosen to invest in the Campbell River Community Foundation because it is a way of giving back to the community and a continuing future legacy in which the funds are well managed and not heavy in administration fees. Local organizations in need are well served by this growing Foundation.
