Magic Happens When Neighbours Connect
Our foundation launched its very first Neighbourhood Small Grants (NSG) program this year. Created by the Vancouver Foundation, NSG provides grants of up to $500 for projects that connect people socially or involve sharing skills or talents with each other. Needless to say, all projects must stay within guidelines for physical distancing at this time.
The purpose of these small grants is to build community and strengthen connections within neighbourhoods. This year, we are supporting six new and innovative projects including:
- Introduction to Qigong
- Free the Seeds
- Signs of Hope
- Books Care Box
- Winter Warm-Up Project
- Surge Narrows Grocery Delivery Program
The NSG program has been so well received that we plan to run it again in the spring of 2021.
